Moving

Eight tons of soda ash briquettes (in 50 pound  bags) were purchased from a nearby chemical firm and moved to the lake with this piece of equipment.  Soda ash briquettes are highly alkaline and allowed for the lake to be neutralized without a significant disturbance for tanker truck access.  The scouts paid a local contractor for this phase of work, thereby contributing to the overall success and lower cost of the AMD project.

Brigade

A fire brigade is formed to move the 50 pound bags along the wooden pallet pier.  As more pallets became available, the pier was extended into deeper water.
