This OSM Cooperative Agreement funded Clean Streams
project is the neutralization of three Acid Mine Drainage
(AMD) lakes. The lakes were created
during surface mining in the 1940-60’s, encompass 12.07 acres, and are
situated within the 270 acres Old Ben Scout Reservation in
Pike
County, near
Cato, Indiana.
